Helping teens find their place, passion, and purpose through youth led micro-businesses and mentorship in downtown Carpinteria, CA.
Pathways is an after-school program where participants learn how to make and sell products, earn money and explore career path options past high school.
Pathways is designed to give middle and high school students hands-on experience running micro-businesses in teams through the creation of handmade products they will make in our space and sell in our shop COASTLAND. Youth who participate will be able to earn money from the products their team produces and sells
Pathways participants will sell their products in our retail shop called COASTLAND, which features only local handmade products made by Pathway youth. Laser engraving, woodworking, and various other handcrafted techniques are used to create unique products for tourists and locals alike.
Pathways participants are paired with mentors who will guide students in making saleable products and necessary business skills which students will use to run their businesses. Pathways is designed to teach more skills as students progress. No experience in making anything is required!
Participants in the Pathways program will have access, as needed and desired, to additional services including tutoring, mental health, college prep, spiritual care, social health, financial guidance, and more. We are committed to helping the whole student.
We will be accepting new students into Pathways soon. If you are interested in our program, click the button below and we will let you know!
